The Purposes of ABIMCI

The purposes of ABIMCI are to determine, represent, and defend the interests and common goals of its members, performing for such an end, the following roles:

  1. Representing its members before public and private entities of any nature, domestically or abroad, in any matters or claims, whether in the administrative level or in court, using all resources at its disposal, including any sort of legal action, class injunctive relief, or appeal as well as other appropriate procedures, irrespective of an specific approval from its General Assembly;
  2. Fostering the furtherance of the Associations’ activities by informing its members of conferences, workshops, seminars, expositions, as well as the exchange of information between companies and similar entities, inside and outside of the country;
  3. Supporting mandates which aim to set rules for the standardization, classification, and certification of all products resulting from the mechanical processing of wood in its multiples forms;
  4. Sponsoring market studies and maintaining its members abreast of new trends;
  5. Encouraging trade schools to include in their programs and curricula, subject matters related to the activities developed by the wood mechanical processing industry in its multiples forms;
  6. Maintaining a specialized reference library;
  7. Addressing issues that involve ecological and environmental problems;
  8. Promoting joint arrangements, agreements, and contracts with private and public entities, domestically and abroad, in the interest of its members;
  9. Creating brand names, seals, and other symbols; technical specifications and quality certificates.
